The position as a Senior Teaching Fellow in Engineering Design is an open-ended position with the opportunity to progress your career to Professor of Learning and Teaching. The position includes working with students across multiple levels, including Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate Taught (PGT), Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and also across Graduate Apprenticeship and Degree Apprenticeship (DA) programmes, where apprentices are employed by an organisation and also study towards their degree with the University of Strathclyde. The vacancy currently being advertised aims to complement existing expertise that focuses on Product Design Engineering.
You will be fluent in engineering design and cognisant of the interfaces to manufacturing and engineering management.
Candidates in all areas related to Engineering Design will be considered, with specialisation in at least one of the routes,
including, but not limited to: (1) design process methodology, design methods and tools, (2) creative design and technologies,
(3) design psychology and behavioural science, (4) design for manufacturing, or (5) mechanics, analysis, modelling and simulation, experimentation and computation, computer-based design systems (CAD/CAM/AI/Digital product design engineering/innovation), or (6) AI and data science for design and engineering science.
