Dr Andrew Wodehouse is a Reader in the Department of Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management (DMEM) at the University of Strathclyde. He leads the department’s Design Research Group and is Theme Leader for Engineering Design undergraduate and postgraduate courses. His research addresses the creative design process, blending human-centred and computational approaches to realise holistic product experiences, interfaces and geometries.

He has led a range of UKRI and EU funded projects in digital design and interaction, such as the visualisation of coastal erosion and the use of virtual reality in rehabilitation, and has collaborated with other disciplines such as drama, bioengineering, history and business to deliver new design methods that support creative collaboration.

Andrew is a member of the Advisory Board of the International Journal of Design Creativity and Innovation, Co-chair of the Design Society’s Special Interest Group in Design Creativity, and a Chartered Technological Product Designer.
