What do you plan to achieve in Challenge 1?
We’ve joined the first Digital Design Network Plus challenge to co-develop new approaches for designing engineering systems, using these workflows as anchors for our new modules in aerodynamics and flight design. It’s exciting to be part of a UK-wide team of experts — bringing together cross-cutting knowledge in systems, simulation, and manufacturing — to reimagine how these processes can be applied. The need for cheaper, quieter, and more sustainable transport for both goods and people has never been greater, and we hope this collaboration at the intersection of research, industry, and education will help build the skills needed to make it a reality.
