Mark is Professor of Aeronautics at Queen’s University Belfast and holds an EPSRC Fellowship in Engineering Design (DECIDE for Net Zero).
A former Pro-Vice-Chancellor at QUB, Mark is now focused solely on research and is developing disruptive approaches to engineering design. He leads the EPSRC Programme Grant (Re-Imagining Engineering Design, RIED, www.riedesign.org) which is a partnership with the University of York and Loughborough University’s Woolfson School supported by 10 leading UK companies.
The EPSRC Fellowship(DECIDE for Net Zero) has a community role in working with the High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC) and the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC) to help create and share pathways for digital transformation and use of advanced digital design tools in the UK manufacturing community.
Working as part of the D2N+ core team Mark will combine his Fellowship community role and resources with the network to help with the shared goal of designing faster and better with less.
