Trevor Robinson is principal investigator for the Digital Design Network Plus. He is Head of School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast where he is Professor of Computational Design Engineering.
Throughout his research career Trevor has enjoyed participating in large collaborative research projects which have advanced Digital Engineering Design, from EU projects such as VIVACE, CRESCENDO and TOICA, to ATI funded projects such as GEMinIDS and Colibri. He leads the Cyber modelling thread of the EPSRC Programme Grant (Re-Imagining Engineering Design, RIED, www.riedesign.org) which is a collaboration with two other universities and 10 industry partners. He also has a passion for leadership and mentorship.
Working with the D2N+ team he plans to build a large and diverse network, that will advance Digital Engineering Design, and provide meaningful opportunities for early and mid-career academics at the same time.
