A Systematic Technology Evaluation Method Accelerating Drone Design
This project adapts the Computer-Supported Collaborative Design (CSCD) systematic evaluation and selection method to accelerate and improve drone design. By applying the CSCD framework to both digital platforms (e.g., CAD, simulation, prototyping, communication systems) and physical components (e.g., motors, sensors, controllers), the approach will ensure that the right technology is chosen when needed in the product development process. This will not only streamline tool integration into a unified collaborative workflow, reducing silos between disciplines, but also extends the methodology beyond digital tools to physical testing, enabling faster, smarter, and more collaborative drone development.
